Sara Toliver, CDME, president & CEO, Visit Ogden (UT), officially took office as Board President of the Destination Marketing Association of the West (DMA West) at the association’s annual Destination Marketing Summit, September 23-25, 2015, in Ogden, Utah.
Other officers elected at the Marketing Summit include President-elect Julie Saupe, president & CEO, Visit Anchorage (AK) and Secretary-Treasurer Kim Bennett, president & CEO, Visit Vancouver USA (WA). Wes Rhea, CTA, CDME, CEO of Visit Stockton (CA), will serve as Past President.
The following Board Directors were elected to two-year terms: Debbie Braun, IOM, CDME, president & CEO of the Aspen (CO) Chamber Resort Association; Danielle Cowan, executive director, Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory/Clackamas County (OR) Tourism & Cultural Affairs; Marc Garcia, president & CEO, Visit Mesa (AZ); Jim Kissinger, CTA, vice president, meeting sales, Visit Anaheim (CA), and Anand Patel, CDME, president & CEO, Fairfield (CA) Conference & Visitors Bureau.
Board members continuing their terms as Directors include Anne Jenkins, senior vice president, Travel Medford (OR), and Bonnie Quill, executive director of the Mat-Su (Palmer, AK) Convention & Visitors Bureau.
