Travel Lane County and other Oregon DMOs Complete a 360-mile Bike Tour to the Oregon Governor’s Conference on Tourism
Travel Lane County, other Oregon DMOs, Oregon bicycling enthusiasts and Scenic Bikeway Proponents are joined together on a six-day, 360-mile bike tour. The tour kicked off April 17 at the Eugene, Cascades & Coast Adventure Center in Springfield. The tour route continued through central and eastern Oregon, climbing more than 22,000 feet in elevation, and culminated April 22 at the Oregon Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Pendleton. Travel Lane County’s mobile visitor center, MIKE the Bike—the first of its kind in the travel industry—also joined the ride. Throughout the ride, the cyclists traversed parts of five Oregon Scenic Bikeways. Riders ended each day with a celebration at five communities along the way.
