DMA West Education Summit & Vendor Showcase
September 21-23 in Mesa, Arizona
Mesa, Arizona, will be the location for this year’s DMA West Education Summit & Vendor Showcase.
The Education Summit Planning Committee is working on sessions in several topical areas. Appealing formats such as debates, case studies and roundtables by specialty area are in the works.
The Education Summit will be at the Sheraton Mesa Hotel at Wrigleyville West, which opened spring 2015 and is situated between Sloan Park—the Chicago Cubs spring training facility—and the popular Riverview Park. This new area of Mesa, known as Wrigleyville West, is nestled near Tempe and Scottsdale with quick access to downtown Phoenix. The area features nearby shopping, dining and entertainment options.
Mesa, Arizona, is surrounded by the natural Sonoran Desert beauty of Tonto National Forest and the communities of Gilbert, Apache Junction, and Queen Creek. In Mesa, you will find the largest arts and cultural complex in the Southwest, shopping at every turn and delectable locally owned restaurants. As the third largest city in Arizona, Mesa is a modern-day desert urban retreat, where landscapes are legendary and its deep-rooted agricultural heritage still shines.
Best Idea Program
Do you have a new brand, marketing campaign or partnership project to brag about to your peers? If so, we invite you to submit new projects your DMO has undertaken in the past two (2) years in the 2016 Best Idea Program (no entry fees). The objective of the Best Idea Program is to share innovative techniques or imaginative approaches to promoting your destination, managing your organization, providing services, and communicating with stakeholders. Submit your best idea entry online. Best Idea submissions are due by August 16, 2016. Awards will be presented at this year’s DMA West Education Summit, September 21-23, in Mesa, Arizona. Representatives from selected member DMOs will be invited to present their best ideas at the conference. The Best Idea Booklet, which includes all project submissions, will be uploaded to the Resource Library in October.
