Visit Oxnard Logo Wins American Advertising Award
Visit Oxnard’s new logo secured a 2020 American Advertising Award in the Coastal California Competition in the “Logo Design” category. The logo, which received an “ADDY,” was designed as part of a brand overhaul, rooted in a color palette which uses warm “sun” and cool “water” tones mixed in with vintage pastels to elicit a feeling of nostalgia and belonging. Present in its design are friendly, fluid letters and a strong horizontal line to emulate the sun sinking into the ocean. The bold new look pays homage to the city’s diverse attractions and laid-back, approachable culture. The logo was created by Verdin Marketing.
