Education Summit & Vendor Showcase and Best Idea Program
September 27-29 in Las Vegas
Las Vegas will be the location for this year’s DMA West Education Summit & Vendor Showcase.
The Education Summit Planning Committee is working on sessions in several topical areas. Appealing formats such as debates, case studies and roundtables by specialty area are in the works, as well as experiential sessions on Wednesday.

At the Linq Promenade, Caesars Entertainment has redefined the iconic Las Vegas skyline with the opening of world’s tallest observation wheel, the High Roller. Topping out at 550 feet, the High Roller eclipses both the London Eye and Singapore Flyer. Facing north and south (parallel to Las Vegas Boulevard), the wheel takes 30 minutes to complete one full revolution and features 28 glass-enclosed cabins with broad views of the famed resort city. Each cabin accommodates up to 40 people and is available for individual or group experiences.
Best Idea Program

The objective of the Best Idea Program is to share innovative techniques or imaginative approaches to promoting your destination, managing your organization, providing services, and communicating with stakeholders. Submit your best idea entry online. Best Idea submissions are due by September 6, 2017. Awards will be presented at the DMA West Education Summit, September 27-29, in Las Vegas. Representatives from selected member DMOs will be invited to present their best ideas at the conference. The Best Idea Booklet, which includes all project submissions, will be uploaded to the Resource Library in October.
