DMA West and Destinations International – PDM Courses

DMA West partnered with Destinations International to bring two industry courses to Sacramento in early October. The two courses— Fundamentals of Sales and Governance & Finance—are part of the Professional in Destination Management (PDM) certification program. The courses were offered as pre-conference sessions to the 2019 DMA West Education Summit. There was an exceptional turnout for both courses—23 participants for Sales and 25 for Governance & Finance. Delegates from across the nation came to attend these courses.

Instructors for the Sales course included Kristin McGrath, CDME, vice president of sales, services & sports, Visit Albuquerque, and Wes Rhea, CTA, CDME, CEO, Visit Stockton. Jack Johnson, chief advocacy officer, and Matt Ozuna, advocacy and data manager, Destinations International; and Melyssa Laughlin, CDME, president & CEO, Visit Vacaville, presented the Governance & Finance course.
