Santa Fe Sweeps Three National Best Destination Polls
USA Today 10Best Reader’s Choice has voted Santa Fe the #1 Best Destination in three separate contests: Culturephiles, Outdoor Enthusiasts, and Shopaholics. Voting took place online daily for four weeks against 19 other top destinations in each category. “Many travelers know Santa Fe for art, cuisine, and wellness—where we’ve also won top awards this year,” said Randy Randall, Executive Director for TOURISM Santa Fe. “For centuries Santa Fe has also been a world-class trading hub and a center for cultural integration and innovation—all set against some of the most beautiful land and sky in the hemisphere.” USA Today 10Best Reader’s Choice recently selected Santa Fe for #1 and #4 Best Art Festivals and for three of the top ten Best Hotel Spas. Earlier in the year, The Santa Fe Railyard Arts District was voted #6 Best U.S. Arts District and last month the Santa Fe Farmers Market was #6 and the New Mexico Green Chile Cheeseburger Trail #1. Santa Fe has also won awards this year from Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure as a top ten destination in the world and the U.S.A., as well as one of the friendliest cities in both categories.
